Jam Packed Summer Sailing Activities in Malta

Have really been out of the ''Blogosphere'' these past few weeks and soooo much has been going on locally in the sailing scene. There are a few sailing clubs on the island and each one seems to have had a jam packed summer of activities. There have been sailors attending various international sailing events all over the place. Following on from the successful results at the Optimist World Championships, where Victoria Schultheis won the female Gold medal, more good results were achieved with Antonia Schultheis winning Silver at the Euros with her brother, Richard, winning Silver in the boys division.

But it is not all about racing. Both the Birzebbugia Sailing Club and Malta Young Sailors Club have had sailing and windsurfing courses (MYSC) going on throughout the summer season. Various persons have devoted a lot of time to getting these kids out on the water and giving them a chance to experience the great sport of sailing and windsurfing. A sport, which  has proven over and over again in the past few years, that the Maltese truly excel in.

The next big event on the Malta Sailing calendar is the Rolex Middle Sea Race. A race that definitely has the most original and amazing course in the world.
