Optimist World Championships 2014 - Results After Day 2

Day 2 proved to be a long day with races in the morning having to be postponed due to lack of wind. However, a light North-North Easterly wind picked up around 1.30pm and two races were held with Switzerland's Nicolas Rolaz taking the top spot on the leader board with a total of 13 points. He is followed by Slovakia's Mara Turin and Germany's Valentin Muller.

Malta's Jake Satariano is doing a very good job keeping himself up amongst the more experienced sailors in the fleet. Yesterday he managed to obtain a 15th and 14th placing which puts him in 33rd position overall at present.
The fleet consists of  207 boys and girls aged between 12 and 15 years old. At 12 years old Jake is amongst the youngest of the participants.
