Tommy Really Going for those Backloops

Tommy, one of our younger generation surfers here in Malta, is really going for back loops right now. Above is a sequence shot taken by his brother Bobby, also a windsurfer, last week in Ghallis.
This afternoon had a very enjoyable time out on the water. 6m sail and 86L board. Wind a bit up and down but became a bit steadier later on in the afternoon. After 2 to 3 hours got quite tired - not used to using such a big sail. Easterly with some very small waves in Mellieha Bay.

Hey Bunt!

Hope all is well!!

By any chance, you don't know of what the windsurf scene is like in and around Dubai by any chance? I might move there after my Masters and obviously it is an issue!! heheh!!

Now now you happy Stallion calm down!

Sim - Dubai...........hmm big board type scene re windsurfing. You would probably be better off kiting there or Hoby Cat sailing. There is a very big yachting centre there and if I am not mistaken alot of match racing which is meant to be extra great fun and thru match racing that is where you really learn how to sail if you want to get into yachting scene. I don't think they get many strong wind days though.

Oh yeah you're not far from Dahab and Sharm. There is meant to be another area good for windsurfing which is closer than Egypt - can't remember if it is Aden or around there, but don't think there are any centres there so you would have to have your own equipment with you.

I'll scout the area I guess and then ship my stuff! But then i wont have my kit in Malta for my visits!! Mmmm... Decisions decisions...

(Let me get there and actually get a job first!! One step at a time!!)
