Big Big Day Today!

The bay is amazing today. Waves breaking just everywhere, places it doesn't usually break. Right now blowing about 7 to 8. Will go down and have a look at the beach soon. Determined to go down even if I sail just in the white water. Will be on our smallest sail so John and I will probably be taking it in turns today sharing the 4 metre. Also want to take some pics of the bay as it is - quite a sight.

I suppose this must have been what it was like when St. Paul got shipwrecked in Malta! Don't think I would have liked to be out in that sea just drifting in on a piece of wood!! Feels a bit safer with a sail stuck on somehow!!

Wind On the Way

Computer up the spout right now so having to borrow to keep up with stuff. Hopefully will have it back soon cos have a couple of walks we did last weekend I would like to share on my blog.

Forecast for tomorrow is great with force 7+ North Easterly so the bay should be pretty big! Today there is a cold north wind out and am hoping that by this afternoon a bit of a swell will start coming into the bay so I can go down. Haven't been down since Christmas's been that bad here!

A Walk Around Birgu - Malta

Anton and I had a lovely day walking around Birgu and Kalkara lastSaturday. We played the tourist a bit with me taking lots of pics and we visited the Inquisitor's Palace which I have wanted to see for a very longtime. Quite an amazing building.

I have made a short movie with the pics I took.

Blog Viewership

Am very happy to see that in the one year + I have been blogging my viewership is on the increase. In the past month alone I have had around 1000 visits with nearly 2000 page views.
It is also interesting to note that nearly 400 of those was the Euromed 2007 - that's a good sign since it shows how the international interest in the event is growing.
I will have to work harder now to keep those figures going and maybe increase.
A big thanks to all those who have been 'faithful' to my blog with their regular visits. The part of blogging that is DEFINITELY the most fun is, ofcourse, the close community you become with the 'regulars' that come into your blog and you, yourself, do likewise into their blogs. You end up feeling that you actually know the people who are at the other side of that internet line.
The person who originally 'inspired' me to start blogging was Chris Pressler who sent me the link to his blog once he had started up. Once I saw it I thought why can't I try it. Have to say it's one of the best things I have done. There really is alot of fun in it - also great fun browsing thru other people's blogs too. So anyone who DOESN'T have a blog and has been thinking about..................stop thinking and get on with it!

2007 In Pictures - Part 1

Well have managed to put together a slide movie with some music!

Thanks Steve for trying to help and thanks Norm for actually finding

the cause!!

I hope to get a bit more adventurous now. Also I know what my next

Appreciate any comments.

I am experimenting on Movie Maker on my laptop. I have Vista - am right now trying to import music to go with my slide show but a notice comes up that I do not have the 'codec' installed. Have browsed a bit on the net but it hasn't really been any help, just confused me more.
I need this explained and help given in jargon that is called 'Plain English' - in a way that a 40+ computer illiterate can understand!

Thanks in advance!

Kevin &Tati Looking For New Sail Sponsors??

Kevin Pritchard

Tatiana Howard
Kevin Pritchard is looking for a new sail sponsor. Not quite sure if it was his decision to leave Maui Sails or else he was given the boot...................but he's looking! Quite sure he won't have a problem finding a new sponsor though!!
It seems, judging by comments I have seen, that Tati Howard has also left Maui Sails. I stand to be corrected on this one, but that seems to be what is happening by reading various blogs. Either Maui Sails are cutting back or starting the New Year on a very new note!

A New Year Begins

Not much to report. Just got back to 'normal' again after Christmas season festivities, house guests etc.

I want to experiment with my computer a bit more - I am a pretty 'reserved' comp user and certainly to do not use it anywhere near its full potential. So one resolution is to increase my knowledge of just how much and just WHAT it can do. That will be solely by trial and error and a venting of my anger with bad language and a stamping of keys. So hope there will something left of this laptop once I have mastered some of the ingenious 'whateveryouwanttocallthem' of this space age device!
