More Pics from Last Weekend

John

John practising his vulcans

Goran

John jumping off the back of the wave

Austin

The above pics were taken by Rebecca. The colour isnt so good - the air was really thick and misty with alot of dust in the air from Africa. Rebeccas camera - although a good one - hasnt got all the sophisticated lenses etc to help counteract the bad light but the result is pretty good all the same. Suppose they can be enhanced on the computer!

Great Grigal!

Goran flying high

John

Gamblu before...............

.................and Gamblu after!

I was stuck up 'on the hard' for a few days due to a small op and so the wind I have been waiting for had to come just at the time when I couldn't go into the water - Sods law so they say! Therefore I grabbed Rebeccas camera and played at being photographer for a while until Rebecca arrived on the scene and grabbed the camera back! Have to admit though that she is a far better photographer than I am so perhaps that was for the best!! Here are a few of the pics taken. Wind direction was ENE force 6 average. According to the surfers sea/waves were very confused coming from all directions but seemed to get better as the day wore on.

Westerly in Mellieha

Had a good sail in the bay yesterday afternoon. It was nice cos wind was much more than expected and quite a few people were down. Full down blasting but quite a chop. Had 4.5 NP Search and my Synchro 83 . Gybes pretty hairy and had some face smashing wipe outs - my brain was totally flushed out! Good fun. Unfortunately the wind that was meant to come tomorrow and Saturday has fizzled away and doesnt look good for next week - bad for us but good for the tourists!
